We often think of peace as the absence of trouble. No conflict. No bad news. No family problems. No uncertainty. We imagine that if everything around us would finally settle down, then perhaps we could have peace. But biblical peace is much deeper than a trouble-free life.

What happens when you can remember what God has done—and still need Him to do something again? What happens when you are grateful for yesterday’s restoration, but there are still places in your life that feel unfinished?

There is something beautiful about slowing down long enough to notice life. Watching the wind gently move through the trees. Listening to birds greet a new morning. Feeling the warmth of the sun on your face. Savoring a quiet cup of coffee before the demands of the day begin. Laughing with someone you love without glancing at the clock. These moments rarely accomplish anything on our to-do lists. Yet somehow, they nourish something much deeper.
