You Are Mine

Life is a battlefield.

We often find ourselves caught in struggles, facing challenges that threaten to

overwhelm us. In those moments, it can feel as though the enemy has won and as if the darkness

has consumed the light. The weight of our mistakes, the lies we’ve believed, and the pain we’ve

endured can make it seem like there’s no way out.

But I am reminded of a truth that changes

everything for me! I was scrolling through social media one morning, not looking for or at anything

particular, when I happened upon a video of a female lioness being attacked and overrun by a group

of hyenas! As I was watching the lioness struggle to run, fighting to get out of danger, a song was

playing. I have no idea who was singing nor the name of the song.

However, the only words being repeated were…"The enemy thought that he had me. But Jesus said,

‘You are mine'!" As the lone lioness continued to fight what looked like 20 or more hyenas, suddenly

one, two, three, four…other lionesses came from out of nowhere to aid and assist!

At that moment I felt the Spirit of the Lord within me leap as a video clip of things I have been facing

in my own life played back in my mind’s eye; rejuvenating my hope of change and strength for the

journey!

There Is A Deceptive Power of the Enemy.

The enemy thrives on deception. This spirit whispers lies to our hearts, convincing us that we are

lost, unloved, beyond redemption, and losing a grip on reality. This spirit uses our fears,

insecurities, and failures to make us believe that we’re not worthy of God’s love and alone. But

these are just tactics to keep us chained to our past and blinded to our identity and purpose in

Christ.

But Jesus...

During our darkest moments, when it seems like the enemy has us trapped, wandering and not

knowing where we are; Jesus, when we allow Him, steps in! He sees us not for our flaws or failures

but for who we truly are—beloved children of God. I was reminded yet again how Jesus redeemed

me! His voice cut through the noise of deception, declaring, "Dee…You are mine!"

Immediately, Jesus assured me in John 10:27-28 that:

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they

shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand."

This simply powerful statement from Jesus was just the reminder I needed that spoke to my worth

and identity. It’s a declaration of His love for all of us, a love that is unwavering and unconditional.

No matter how far we’ve strayed, no matter how deep the enemy’s lies have sunk into our hearts,

Jesus calls us back to Him and claims us as His own!!!

A New Beginning Awaits You In Christ No Matter Where You Are In Your Journey!

When Jesus says, "You are mine," He’s not just offering comfort—He’s offering a new beginning for

some and a revival for others!!! In Him, we are made new! That which was dying, or dead comes to

life again! The chains of deception are broken, and we are set free to live in the truth of God’s love

and grace! This is the essence of the Gospel: that despite our sins, failures and shortcomings, we

are redeemed through Christ, bought with a price!

Romans 14:8 supports this reminder as well!

"If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we

belong to the Lord!"

How exciting and uplifting are those words!!!

In Ephesians 2:1-10 Apostle Paul beautifully captures this truth.

“We were once dead in our

transgressions, following the ways of the world and the deceit of the enemy. But because of His

great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ. It is by grace that we have

been saved!”

And finally in 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, we also find the assurance that:

"…it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of

ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."

Embrace Your Identity in Christ And Fight Off The Lies The Enemy Tries To Convince You

Of.

As you reflect, let the truth that you belong to Jesus sink into your heart. The enemy may have tried

to claim you, but he has no power over you! Bring those thoughts the come to deceive you under

subjection! Jesus has spoken, and His word is final. You are His, and nothing can change that!

And the next time the enemy tries to convince you that you’re not enough, overtake you or that

you’re too far gone, remember this: Jesus says, "You are mine!" Let this truth anchor your soul and

guide your steps as you walk in the freedom, assurance and love that only He can provide!

Be blessed.
