Sometimes it’s hard to see progress, but just because we don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. God’s plans for us are intentional.

As the year comes to a close, many women find themselves reflecting on the road they have traveled — the victories, the tears, the lessons, the quiet battles no one else saw.

Whenever God leads you into unfamiliar places, new assignments, new responsibilities, new chapters, or new healing, our first response should be to build an altar to the Lord.

You may have been in survival mode, but God is calling you up, out, and forward. You are stepping into a season where you will breathe differently, move differently, and see yourself differently.

We are women who have walked through storms and found God faithful. We are women who have seen pain, survived heartache, endured disappointment, and yet by God’s power have risen with strength in our bones and wisdom in our mouths. This kind of maturity is not accidental. It is cultivated. And with it comes responsibility.

There is something sacred about a promise. A promise carries weight, expectation, and hope. It represents trust, believing that something will or will not happen based on the word that was given. When a promise is honored, trust deepens. But when a promise is broken, especially repeatedly, it fragments trust, weakens integrity, and leaves wounds that often take time to heal.

There’s a rhythm to life, and for many women, especially those over 50, this season may feel like a time of transition—children grown, careers shifting, health changing, or even the question: What now, Lord?

God is not obligated to prioritize our preferences. His wisdom is perfect. His motives are pure. His timing is flawless. And His sovereignty means He answers to no one, including us.

Pouring from a cup, that is empty, leads to burnout, frustration, and spiritual weariness. But pouring from a cup filled by Christ leads to life, joy, and strength for the journey!

When emotions rise, allow yourself a moment to pause. Step back from the frame so God can show you the full picture.

Life has a way of leaving us with scars. We endure hurt, pain, heartache, brokenness, disappointments, betrayal, and various abuses.

As women in our seasoned years, we often look back qon life with a mix of gratitude, joy, and—if we’re honest—sometimes regret.

Some losses catch us off guard, others come slowly, but all are part of our human experience.

When we hold on to guilt, we’re agreeing with the enemy’s lies instead of standing in God’s truth.

We all carry things we were never meant to hold—memories of failure, words that cut deep, disappointments that still sting, and regrets.

The journey ahead may be uncharted to us, but it is already mapped out in the heart of our all-knowing, all-loving God.

Anxious thoughts can be an invitation to draw closer to God. When fears about health, family, or the future arise, remember to turn to God!

We learn how to keep pushing through, but silently, something inside begins to break. Even as women of faith, we sometimes struggle to admit: “I love God, but I’m not okay.”
