This Is The Season!

By Dee Davis | Divine Inspirations

Focus Scriptures:

Isaiah 43:18–19, Romans 12:2, Philippians 3:13–14 (NLT)

There will be many moments women will experience along their journey, especially after 50, when they realize that the life they once knew no longer fits the woman they have become.

What once felt familiar now feels confining.

What felt safe now feels suffocating.

And the pull to return to the old version of yourself comes whispering from behind.

It is during this tension that the words from God’s servant, Apostle Suzanne M. Howard speaks straight to the heart:

“Changing your environment may feel unfamiliar, exposed, too much, like you’re rejecting an old version of you… Good!

Discomfort is the sound of growth happening…

This is the season where you make distraction uncomfortable and focus inevitable.”

Woman of God… if the unfamiliar feels uncomfortable, you are not lost or losing your mind, you are growing.

When God Disrupts the Familiar

God never upgrades a life without first unsettling it.

Isaiah reminds us to:

“Forget all that, it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.

For I am about to do something new.” (Isaiah 43:18–19)

  • New seasons require new space.

  • New calling demands new boundaries.

  • A new identity cannot survive in old environments.

When God begins rearranging your surroundings, relationships, routines, and even your inner dialogue, remember that He is not punishing you.

He is positioning you and setting you up for success!

Your Environment Must Match Your Identity

Romans 12:2 declares:

“Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”

You see, transformation is not only spiritual; it is also environmental and intentional.

Who you allow in your space.

What you give your energy to.

What you tolerate and,

What you protect is all a part of your transformation.

You are building what Apostle Howard calls a “Focus Fortress.”

And the gates to that fortress only open for your purpose!

She declares, "This is not about convenience, but is about calling!"

The Courage to Leave Who You Used to Be

Apostle Paul wrote:

“Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on…” (Philippians 3:13–14)

So every time you choose not to return to the old version of yourself,

You are telling your future:

“I am coming for you.”

The discomfort you feel is not about what you are losing; it

is the beautiful sound of destiny shifting into place!

Encouragement for This Season

Beloved woman of God,

You are not becoming distant

You are becoming distinct.

The unfamiliar is not your enemy.

It is your evidence.

This is the season where:

✔ Focus becomes your friend

✔ Boundaries become your blessing

✔ And alignment becomes unavoidable

Your mind will thank you and,

Your destiny will reward you.

Here is a Question for Reflection for You

What part of your environment no longer represents the woman God is shaping you to be?

Prayer

Father,

I receive the courage to release what no longer fits my future.

Thank you, Lord, for helping me trust You when the unfamiliar feels uncomfortable.

I embrace the strength that You are giving me to protect my focus, guard my heart, and align my life with the woman You are calling me to become.

I also embrace this new season with faith, hope, and expectancy.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Closing Charge

Welcome to your new space!

This is not the end, it is alignment.

This is not loss, it is a legacy.

This is not fear, it is faith rising.

This is the season!

And you were built for it!

Stay encouraged and be blessed!
